The objectives of the exchange programme are to give health professionals from other European countries an in-depth knowledge of the Danish health services.

The Danish health services, including the hospital service and social service, are closely integrated. The professionals will therefore get an introduction to subjects concerning both the primary and secondary health services.

The participants may be presented with items in their programme that are outside their own field of activities but relevant to the concept of the HOPE exchange programme.

The following subjects will be presented at both the national and the regional level:

  • Organisation
  • Management
  • Financing
  • Clinical examination, treatment and nursing
  • Service functions
  • Training
  • Development/research

The theme of the exchange programme will be incorporated in different stages of the program.

The emphasis of the programme is practical rather than academic. The training also includes a part on the special interests of the candidate.

The HOPE programme is not a medical training program.
