Denmark has participated in all HOPE Exchange Programmes (since 1981). In the course of time, healthcare professionals have come from more than 20 EU-member and associated countries. 

During the programme, there will be arrangements of special interest upon request by the individual professionals. If there are specific items the professionals wish to include in the Danish programme, every effort will be made to include them. If so, please inform the Danish national coordinator accordingly in writing or by e-mail.

The organisers of the Danish programme emphasise both the professional and the social programme. Consequently, the professionals are divided into groups of two to six professionals at the host hospitals. 

Social programmes
The social programme is an important part of the Danish programme. We refer both to the social programme organised by the host hospital and your host country, Denmark, and to the social ties that are established between professionals. The social programme will facilitate establishment of networks and friendships among professionals and provide the opportunities to get to know other cultures.

We encourage all healthcare professionals to join the social programme during their stay in Denmark.
